Happy lunar new year~!

To all those of my f-list who celebrate the Lunar New Year:

Happy New Year!

[Edit: Ok, since I was told that many asian cultures celebrate the Lunar New Year, I've amended my post to incorporate that.]

Hope everyone has a wonderful time and get lots of lucky money. It's meant to be 38degrees here today so I'm gonna die with the crowds But everyone enjoy themselves as much as they can ok?

I'm heading out now, I'll edit this post later.
EDIT:
Ok, I've just gotten home from the rounds of temples and the fete at the Casino in the city. I'm pretty much melting and have probably darkened about 3 shades because of the heat.
We went to two temples today, and luckily since we started late (around 1pm) there wasn't as many people. At the first temple, one of the big incense holders caught on fire since there was so many people putting incense in, and I think it was a young child who caused it cause he stuck it in without putting out the fire on his own incense stick. I don't think he was properly supervised. A bunch of people was blowing on it to try to put it out but it was too big, I think that just made it worse. So one of the temple workers (who was a *really* old man) dumped a bucket of water on it. That was unexpected to say the least (the fire, not the water). At the 2nd temple, everyone was holding such big bunches of lit incense that I started to cry before I even went inside (even with glasses on).

Crown Casino had stalls and entertainment all along the boardwalk so we headed there. There was SOOO many people. And we got really lazy to walk since it was so hot. But mum insisted that we go. Well I bought a bunch of handcrafted little people made with ribbons. It's hard to describe but they're REALLY cute.

Now we're all home and very very tired as the heat just sucks all the energy out of you. A storm has just blown up.. but it's not really helping with the heat at all. *dies*

Thank you all for all your wonderful messages~!

One and a half days without checking my friends page... Minna is so active!

To those who don't celebrate LNY, feel free to ignore this post. But have a wonderful day anyway~! ♥

It's really fascinating, the different weather at different places. But the high temperature must be due to the global waring, don't you think?

Thank you. I'm in Malaysia, so I guess I'm around 2 hours later than you. Well, depends on which part of Australia you're in. Which part is it?

Yes, it would most likely be. It never used to be this bad.

I'm at Melbourne, so that's the east coast. So 2 hours should be about right.
