a little worse for wear
Jun. 19th, 2007 12:47 amOmg, its a real life rant (sorta rant anyway).
My room is totally tripping me out. It's so.. empty. o_O I decided to dismantle my loft bed today, cuz I've had it for about 4-5 years and I got sick and tired of it being perpetually dark under there and cutting off half of my (already small) room.
Well it done its job, it gave me space with my gazillion bookshelves and stuff and now it's in pieces and sitting in the storage room. But not without taking its toll on me. I enlisted the help of several cousins (believe me its a big job) and therefore chaos ensued. Flying screws & keys, jabbing poles, unbalanced workers due to weakness from laughing equals multiple bruises, scratches, aches and pains. I'm also a big baka because I unscrewed a horizontal pole, ignored it when it wouldn't budge when I went to take it out and proceeded to forget about it when I tried to take out the one underneath it. So when I loosened the bottom one, the top one fell on me. Smacked me point blank on the shoulder. Lucky it didn't hit my face. Well I now cannot lift my left arm, and the entire shoulder area is bruised. ;_; Two medical heat patches are currently numbing it for me.
Well now I have a much airier and brighter room.. and no bed. XD I'm sleeping on the floor tonight. And will have to continue to do until I can manage to steal my uncles van to steal my aunty's spare futon couch, which I decided will double as my bed. So yea, sleeping on the floor til I have the energy for so much theft. =D
I barely have any energy left, so I'm gonna do some reading (something I haven't done in a loooong time) then go to bed. Will get back to entries and comments in a day or two. Have to tackle cleaning all my crap tomorrow.
Oh, also: Update on the exchange application. I've hit a hitch. The International Relations Officer is no longer on campus since it's semester break and we desperately need her help in choosing corresponding units in Japan. >.<; Gonna spam her email like mad tomorrow.
But for now, g'night everybody~ I'm off. *hugs* Hope everyone has a good day/night! =D
